Mastering Maths step-by-step for Grade 8 is a “must-have” book for a struggling student or a student who wishes to improve his Mathematics results. It contains everything possible to help the student understand the material.
The book is unique in that it contains worked examples and answers that help guide the student in the right direction and learn the correct methods that are used in the South African curriculum. The book contains over 1 000 fully worked examples and alternative methods. Colour is deliberately used to assist the student to track the Maths process in each calculation.
In the South African curriculum, the content for Grade 7 and Grade 8 Maths are closely linked. Therefore, Mastering Maths step-by-step for Grade 8 includes some of the Grade 7 curricula to allow for an easy transition to the Grade 8 work.
The book is CAPS compliant. The author, Louise Wells, was a facilitator for the Department of Education in 2012 assisting teachers with the introduction of CAPS. She is currently a highly recommended Maths teacher at a private Johannesburg school.
